Despite all the challenges everyone in the food and drink industry has faced, we are thrilled to be expanding our range further with the addition of two brand-new products.

We’ve teamed up with award-winning Crafty Distillery for the launch of our Smoked Salmon Pâté infused with Hills & Harbour Gin, which will be available in Waitrose Stores nationwide from 30 September.

Just 25 miles away from our Kirkcudbright home, Crafty Distillery handcrafts one of the rare gins in the world to be distilled with its very own spirit and features local botanicals from the forests and coastline of Galloway. This innovative new pâté combines the fresh taste of salmon with a smooth and vibrant gin that will excite even the most discerning palates with a taste of the region.

New to our Light range, which launched with Salmon and Red Pepper, and Tuna Pâté last year, is Light Mushroom Pâté, which will also be available in Waitrose stores nationwide from 30 September. With 30% less fat than the indulgent Oven Roasted Mushroom Pâté, this is the perfect option for those looking for the same rich flavour but 40% fewer calories.

With distribution increases in Morrisons and Sainsbury’s, as well as new listings in Co-op and these upcoming listings in Waitrose, Castle MacLellan has been able to achieve a significant increase in branded sales when compared to 2019, meaning the brand is on track to deliver one of its most successful years.

General Manager Elaine McConnell said: “I’m absolutely delighted the brand’s success during what has been an incredibly difficult year. I am incredibly proud of our colleagues here who have worked hard throughout some of the most challenging circumstances they have ever faced. It’s thanks to their hard work that we’re able to unveil these fantastic new additions to our range, each one bringing something different to the table that our customers are going to love.”
